ahh yesterday was FUN ! haha the esplanade concert was great. hahaa at least it was for me. well i dun wanna go into details so i'll just pick some to talk bout. haha well when we first entered the esplanade, we were like.. wow. lol actually the place where the rooms are, it look like a hosp man. haha but the lift was big. VERY big. haha so cool lor. yupp and the room was nice esp the toilet. lol but a bigger room would have been better cox horn only like had the space of the width of the mirror wif thos light bulbs. and we were like squeezing all the horns together. haha and the smart me managed to squeeze the horns together wif the bells "interlocking" uhhuh den we had echnical rehearsal and full dress rehearsal. the concert hall is like so big laa. and the furthest seats are like.. so high up ther. lol i rmbred during sec2 we had to go to that SSo concert and our seats were right at the top. haha and the view wasnt very good. uhhuh den the lightings were like. so many and so complicated. lol. during the full dress rehearsal, i screwed up alot of the cherry blossom parts man. all my high high notes were nice.. so out and i couldnt reach some. and well the acoustic is very good ther, meaning that every wrong note could be heard. and wads more horns were like so loud. this made me more scared. scared tat if i play wrong note, it can be heard like so very clearly. haix den i was so depressed after the full dress rehearsal and very worried tat i would screw up during the real thing. and got some parts the tuning was like damn out laa. so i was damn worried tat this will happen during the real performance. hmmm but the good thing was tat it didnt happen at all !!
haha 5min before the real performance while we were backstage.. me, yingsi, jolene,weilun were like talking and talking and laughing. the whole scene was like wad happened 2 years old at VCH's concert. he talking and laughing took away my nervousness, which was good. hahaa and we were like the only ones talking? or were the rest busy talking too. haha but it helped us to relax thou. uhhuh den during the real performance, i wasnt very nervous. and when it came to the part wher i screwed my high notes during the rehearsal(3 bars after 39.. all the way till 54 of cherry blossom) i took in alot of air and just blew out the note and amazingly..
IT WAS THE RIGHT NOTE !! and i played all the notes which i screwed, CORRECTLY !! oh man. i was like SURPRISED !! haha i was smiling so happily. and the nervousness was all gone !! and for the rest of the songs, i think i played okay. yayy !! i was so happy (: haha and yingsi played her high f sharp correctly too and she was so happy too !! yayy (: tats why i was so high after the performance. lol ((: and horns were like quite loud and luckily the tuning was not tat bad. and the 2bars after 65 for jungle fantasy part.. horns were like so loud and in tune too !!YYAYY ! so relieved. oh and the part towards the end of phantom, ther was supposed to be a cut ther but yingsi and the sec2s always forget to stop and i was oso very scared tat they wil forget agn but they rmbred!! haha ((: and horns didnt made any obvious mistakes. yay (:
yupp and the finale was good man !! haha higher ground is so nice (: and band was so high during the finale. lol and i love the choir gallery !
uhhuh so tats all. i love esplanade (:
